Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner
Hello! I’m Mrs. Dayton, the school counselor here at Reagan. My goal is to support every student’s academic, social-emotional, and personal growth. Whether I’m in classrooms teaching lessons, meeting with small groups, or checking in one-on-one, I’m here to help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
My Role Includes:
Classroom Guidance Lessons – Whole-class lessons on topics such as friendship skills, emotional regulation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and career awareness.
Small Group Counseling – Targeted support for students with similar needs (e.g., coping skills, social skills, grief support).
Crisis Intervention & Support – Helping students and staff during emergencies or urgent situations.
Schoolwide Programs – Collaborating with staff to promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school climate.
My Curriculum:
Leader in Me/ 7 Habits - Leadership and personal responsibility skills.
Leander ISD Counseling Curriculum - Classroom presentations that support academic, Career, and social-emotional development.
Parent Consent:
All students participate in classroom counseling lessons as part of our comprehensive school counseling program.
If you prefer your child not to participate in individual counseling or small group counseling, please complete the Parent Opt-Out Form linked below.
